GLOBUL registered pre-paid cards stood at nearly 900,000 or at some 50% of the total as of the first business day of the year. Unregistred pre-paid cards will have their outgoing calls and text messages barred as of today.

Users that have not registered their pre-paid SIM-cards may still do that at all GLOBUL and official partner shops as well as in the branch offices of Bulgarian Posts by January 31, 2010. After that date, incoming calls and SMS of unregistered cards will also be barred.

The registration of pre-paid SIM-cards is being done under the provisions of the Electronic Communications Act and in accordance to a Decision of the Communications Regulation Commission (CRC). Registration is possible at all GLOBUL and official partner shops and at the Bulgarian Posts offices and is absolutely free of charge.
